He was born September 12, 1931 in Middletown, Maryland the son of the late Lola V. Smith.
William served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He was Owner / Operator of A to Z Printing, Mechanicsburg.
William was a member of Community Christian Fellowship, Carlisle.
He was an avid sports fan.
William is survived by his wife: Ruthanna S. Smith; his daughter: Rhonda Lash of Newville; his sons: William H. Smith II of Lathrop, California and Robert W. Smith of Mechanicsburg; and, his ten grandchildren.
There will be a Viewing from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM on Monday, March 22, 2010 in Myers Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg. Funeral Services will begin at 12:00 PM with Reverend Sandy Adams, Jr. officiating.
Interment in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
