According to his cousin, Verna Seifried, Charles was born 9 mi. W. & 1/2 mi. N. of Canton, OK. A neighbor, Mrs. Mason, was with Emma Seifried when Charles was born and he was named after her husband, Charles Mason.

Higgins of Albuquerque; sons, Darrell D. Seifried of Albuquerque and Paul W. Seifried of Los Lunas; 3 granddaughters, his mother Emma Abercrombie, Oklahoma City, Okla.; and sister, Ethel Stephenson of Watonga, Okla. and half-sister, Glenda Eisenhour of Moore, Okla. Services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel in the Garden of French Mortuary, 1111 University NE, with the Rev. Chester Reich officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park..."
