John Edward Painter was my Father. He served in the military until 1965. He was a kind & loving man. He was an amazing father and an altogether wonderful person who had too many friends to mention. Also hard-working, he worked for many years at the Lebanon Steel Foundry and after they closed, he worked multiple jobs at times so he could provide for myself, my mother, my sister and my brothers, and a times, my cousin. He would go out of his way to help anyone and had a very big heart. I will miss him tremendously. I will miss his laugh, his smile, his facial expressions, his kind words, his words of wisdom, his phone calls and mostly I will miss his hugs and not being able to see him, although I know he is always with me. I also know in my heart he is happy now, free from pain or stress, and I know that we will meet again some day soon. I will always love him with all my heart & soul! Love U Dad..
