He was born in Harrisburg on January 12, 1923 to the late Charles Leroy and Grace E. (Hiatt) Holsberger.
Robert was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
He was a retired Electrician for Conrail.
Robert was a member of the Progress Immanuel Presbyterian Church and a former member of Covenant Presbyterian Church.
He was a member of the Penbrook Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1718, Penbrook American Legion Post #730, a Life Member of the Harrisburg Hunters and Anglers, and was active with Boy Scouts of America.
Robert is survived by his wife: Edna O. Holsberger; his son: Robert J. (Wendy) Holsberger, Jr. of Wrightsville; his granddaughter: Maria E. (Adam) Frisca of Carlisle; and, her great-grandsons: Ryan, Joseph, and Nicholas.
There will be a Viewing from 08:30 - 09:30 AM on Friday, April 09, 2010 in Hetrick - Bitner Funeral Home, 3125 Walnut Street, Harrisburg. Funeral Services will begin at 09:30 AM with Rev. Kenton Carter officiating.
Interment in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
