Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Beyer were conducted from Immanuel Lutheran church last Friday afternoon with the Rev. Paul Brammer in charge.

Anna Louise Beyer, nee Rachut, was born July 6, 1887, in Rock Township, Mitchell county, Iowa. [Her parents were Gustav Fredrick Albert Rachut and Wilhelmine Hanna Louise Kronemann Rachut.] In infancy she was baptized in St. John's Lutheran church, Rock Creek, [Rock twp.] and also confirmed there by the Rev. J. Becker on April 14, 1901.

She lived with her parents until the time of her marriage to Richard Beyer on Sept. 4, 1907. To this union five chidlren were born, two sons and three daughters. One daughter died in infancy.

Mr. and Mrs. Beyer lived on several farms in Rock township and finally on a farm in St. Ansgar township, one mile south of St. Ansgar. While living on this place Mr. Beyer died on Dec. 20, 1916.

On May 1, 1917, Mrs. Beyer gave up farming and moved to St. Ansgar, although ailing for a number of years, Mrs. Beyer bore up under her burden with true Christian patience and courage. On Sunday, January 22, she was stricken with a heart attack and pneumonia and passed away the following Tuesday morning at 9:45.

She attained the age of 51 years, 6 months and 18 days; and is survived by two sons, Edwin, living at Osage; Arthur, Ogema, Minnesota; two daughters, Mrs. Lloyd Hansen, St. Ansgar, and Verna at home; one granddaughter, Gloria; two brothers, Edward Rachut, St. Ansgar; Albert Rachut, St. Ansgar; one sister, Mrs. Otto Bartz, St. Ansgar.

Interment was in Immanuel's Lutheran cemetery [South of St. Ansgar
