Julia married Chilton R. Smith 05 February 1859 in Scotland County, Missouri. Chilton and Julia didn't have children , however through the years there were many family members living with the them, brothers, nephews, nieces, etc.
Chilton's brother William and his wife Louisa stayed and later on after his divorce in 1879, brother Hercules Smith moved in. America Smith , daughter to Hercules was living with Chilton and Julia also. Her father Hercules was living with Julia and Chilton by 1880 and his children were not with him , he was listed as divorced in 1880.

James K. Polk Tadlock also lived with the family as did Christopher Fogle a farm hand from Kentucky.
Tadlocks are future relatives of Julia's brother Jacob as he married my great grandmother Lydia Tedlock, the name was changed after moving from Tennessee.
Family history is that Chilton and Julia Ann were well off and after Chilton passed away 07 July 1886, Julia remarried and even had a prenup.
Her marriage to Jackson S. Baker took place 15 February 1890 in Scotland County, Missouri.
My grandfather Andrew Chilton Redifer was named after his Uncle Chilton R. Smith.
It was discovered that Julia Ann was buried with the Smith name and not the Baker name.
