Ralph Bildstein, 80, a lifetime resident of Colorado Springs, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2009.
Ralph was born January 28, 1929, in Colorado Springs, to Harmony and Lou Bildstein. He met and married June Rupp, in 1955.
Ralph is survived by his wife, June Bildstein, and five children, Ron, Cindy, Connie, Jim and Joe. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Martin, John, Marisa, Ryan, Katie and Jessica.
He and June owned and operated Ace Coin Washer Company for 28 years. He was a member of Pikes Peak Apartment Association, Winter Nights Club, Junior Achievement, Chamber of Commerce, and other civic organizations. He was a member and past president of Colorado Springs Flycasting Club where he owned a beautiful mountain cabin that generated many happy memories. He had attended Colorado Springs High School and also Colorado College. In his youth he enjoyed boxing and later judged many boxing competitions.
A memorial service will be held at Benet Hill Monastery, 2577 N. Chelton Road (north of Chelton and Maizeland Roads) at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 16. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the .
