Lillian Mae Bertram was born June 3, 1930 and departed this life Thursday, August 23, 2018 reaching the age of 88 years. She was the daughter of the late Norman and Veronica (Monich) Hodgman.

She married Clyde Bertram and to this union two children were born.

She is survived by: her daughter, Marilyn Swinson (David); grandchildren, Rick and Kenny Brown, and Scott and Mark Swinson; and four great grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, Clyde Bertram; her daughter, Diana Wheeler; one brother, Sam Hodgman; and one sister Evelyn Buhl.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 26, 2018 between 1 pm – 3 pm in the chapel of the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 26, 2018 at 3 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Elk Spring Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to: Mt. View Baptist Camp or St. Jude Children’s Hospital
