Funeral services for Arno F. Nagel were held on Wednesday, June 11 at the Armstrong Funeral Chapel in Lisbon with Stanley March and Kenneth Wahlin officiating. Interment was at Evangelical Cemetery, rural Anslem. Mr. Nagel died on June 9 in Lisbon.
Arno F. Nagel was born August 28. 1904 near Anslem, ND. He was the son of Frank and Margaretha Nagel. He attended country schools and Sheldon High School. He also attended North Dakota Agricultural College in Fargo. Arno had a lifelong interest in horticulture and devoted much time to work in this area. He will be remembered in the community for this.
Arno married Inga Evanson, April 18, 1936 at Webster, SD. Other survivors include Lois (Mrs. Kenneth Bergh), Kindred, Shirley (Mrs. Merlin Kirschenman), Moorhead, MN, Carol (Mrs. Clarence Foos) Hermosa, SD; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two nephews and one niece. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy H. Nagel and Dr. C. M. Nagel. Arno resided at the Parkside Home for the past two years.
Pallbearers were George Thompson, Terry Thompson, LeMoyne Olson, Rodney Olson, Edward Lund and Paul Funk.
