Eunice G. Sanborn, 89, died December 3, 2008 at a health care facility in Penobscot. She was born in Brooksville, October 21, 1919 the daughter of Clifton N. and Villa A. (Saunders) Grindle.

She was a graduate of Brooksville High School. She and Murray moved to Portland in 1942 so he could work in the shipyards in S. Portland. She worked as a bookkeeper at Galt Block Warehouse in Portland and at Fox & Ginn Storage in S. Portland until her retirement in 1982. She was a member of the North Brooksville Methodist Church, the Brooksville Historical Society, and the Walkers Pond Association.

Eunice is survived by her daughter, Elaine Boyington of Cape Elizabeth; two grandsons, Roger Boyington and wife Jody of Cape Elizabeth, Rodney Boyington and wife Karynlee of Gray; two great-grandchildren, Ryan and Allyson Boyington of Cape Elizabeth; her sister Beulah Hamilton of Penobscot; a niece, Paula Gray and husband Robert of Sedgwick; and a nephew, David Hamilton and wife Ree of Sedgwick.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband of 61 years, Murray L. Sanborn, and a brother Philip Grindle.
Interment will be at Mt. Rest Cemetery, Brooksville. (Jordan-Fernald Funeral Home on-line)
