Enrico Paul Lucente, 83, of Glastonbury, formerly of Britt Road, East Hartford and Melbourne, FL, beloved husband of the late Olympia (Rizzo) Lucente, died Monday, (August 5, 2002) at Glastonbury Health Center, Glastonbury. He was born December 8, 1918 in Hartford and was the son of the late Edward and Mary (Rossi) Lucente. He co- owned and operated Savol Bleach Company on Park Avenue in East Hartford for over 25 years, retiring several years ago. He was a World War II, US Air Force veteran airplane mechanic stationed in China, attaining the rank of Sergeant. Enrico was a member of the Knights of Columbus and enjoyed gardening and woodworking. He was predeceased by a daughter, Deborah Franz and is survived by a son and two daughters, Edward A. Lucente and his wife Karen of Vernon, Donna M. Lucente of North Branford and Sharon A. Pilz and her husband Clayton of Falls Village; a brother, Edward Lucente of Glastonbury; two sisters, Edith DeRosa and her husband Frank of Glastonbury and Betty Geremia and her husband Salvatore of Wallingford; a son-in-law, Al Franz, Jr. of Orleans, MA; six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by five sisters, Deede Queno, Mary Maulucci, Viola Seger, Ester Ferrier and Josephine Dugan. Funeral service will be Thursday, 9 a.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church, Wethersfield. Entombment in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield with full Military Honors. Calling hours are Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 538 Preston Avenue, Meriden 06450-1004.
