Jehu E. John, 72, well known resident of Elida, died in Memorial hospital Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. He had been ill seven months.
John was a retired stock buyer and banker of Elida, member of the Elida Pioneer society, member of the M.E. church of Elida and trustee of the Greenlawn cemetery. He had always lived in Elida.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Irvin Sherrick, of Elida; four brothers, Clinton, Charles, Wiley and Abia John, all of Elida; one sister, Mrs. Martha Sawmiller, of Spencerville.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at the M.E. church at Elida. Burial will be in the Elida Mausoleum at Greenlawn cemetery.
Reburied in Allentown Cemetery.
