Marshall M. May, 78, of Bloomington, died Friday at Hospitality House.
Born Mar 5, 1913, in Monroe County, he was the son of Ernest and Rose (Smiley) May. He was co-owner of Woodward Heating and Air Conditioning before becoming co-founder of May's Greenhouse. He retired from May's Greenhouse. He attended Westside Assembly of God.
Survivors include his wife, Pearl (Groomer) May; four daughters, Judy May Kean, Martha Lou May and Helen May, all of Bloomington, and Nancy May Bruce of Unionville; two stepsons, Raymond Wineinger and Fred Wineinger, both of Bloomington; two brothers, Wayne May of Columbia City and Elmer May of Bloomington; four sisters, Frances Jeffers of Bloomington, Marjorie Manriquez of Spencer, Jessie Lacey of Columbus and Mildred Jeffers of Anderson; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Emma E. (Mitchell) May; one daughter, Margaret Rose May; one brother, Harold L. May ; and one sister Ruth Martin.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Day Mortuary with Brother Kiah Rayl officiating. Burial will be at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Friends may call 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
