Carroll County Missouri Marriage records show that he married Anna Houx in December of that year (1881). A daughter, Gwendolyn, was born in 1892 in Troy, Kansas. A death notice for Gwendolyn, published in the Muscatine Journal, Muscatine, Iowa, Tue., Sept 5, 1978 Page 11 states that she was the daughter of George and Anna Houx Gunter.
