Mrs. Niels (Louise) Kloster, 65, Remsen, longtime Northwest Iowa school teacher, died Friday (May 18, 1984) at Marian Health Center, Sioux City.
She suffered a heart attack in Omaha three weeks ago, and had been hospitalized there until being released Wednesday. Friday she suffered a relapse at her residence, and was taken to Marian Health Center.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Christ Lutheran Church, Remsen. Pastor Marvin Suhr will officiate. Burial will be in Remsen city cemetery.
Visitation will be at 3 p.m. Monday at the Moeller Funeral Home.
The former Louise Albrecht was born Jan. 29, 1919, at Curtis, Neb. To Milton H. and Emma E. Scherer Albrecht. She graduated in speech from Westmar College and a master's degree in journalism from the University of Wyoming. She taught school for more than 35 years, including 15 at Remsen and 18 at Marcus. She also taught at Merrill and Kingsley.
She married Niels Kloster June 26, 1938, at Oyens. They lived at Oyens until moving to Remsen in 1960.
Survivors are her husband: mother, Mrs. Emma Albrecht of Dallas, Ore.; three daughters. Mrs. Bill (Ellen) Bohlken of Auburn, Neb., Mrs. Jerry (Darlene) Yovonie of Dallas, Tex. and Mrs. Kenneth (Kathy) Palm of Houston, Tex.; four sons, Terry of Harlan, Vernon of Bennington, Neb., Vaugn of Manly, and Darwin of Sioux City; six sisters, Mrs. Roy (Roberta) Schmid of Two Harbors, Minn., Mrs. Ray (Olive) Shields of Perm Valley, Calif., Mrs. Dale (Joyce) Bauermeister of Carmel, Wash., Mrs. Sarge (Carol) Dare of Dallas, Ore., Mrs. Ray (Helene) Carucci of Indianapolis, and Audrey Calhoun of Greensboro, N.C.; three brothers, John of Eugene, Ore., James of Bellingham, Wash., and Merlyn of Portland, Ore., and 21 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father and a grandchild.
