Lewis Loyd Smith 66, of 1614 Iowa Ave, died at 7:08 p.m. Thursaday at St John's Medical Center where he had been a patient since June 19.
Mr Smith was born Oct 13, 1904, in Nevada and had been a resident of Joplin most of his life. He was a retired employee of Eagle-Picher.
Survivors include his widow Elizabeth Beth; two sons Gary Smith, Denver, Colo and Harold Dale, serving in the Air Force; a daughter, Norma Roberts of 204 N Sergeant Ave; his mother, Mrs Delia Rains, Pittsburg, Kan; a brother Paul Lavorn Smith, state of Maryland; two sisters, May Stroble, Philadelphia, PA and Alma Frasco, Pittsburg an 11 Grand children.
Services will be announced by Mason Funeral Home, Joplin.
