Residence at Plymouth, Hennepin, Minnesota
Interment in Lakewood Cemetery.

BIOGRAPHY:

In 1947 Mary received her Master of Arts degree from Columbia University for work completed at Union Theological Seminary and Teacher's College, was graduated magna cum laude from Smith College, where she majored in English literature.
In 1947 she was in Switzerland representing the United Student Christian Council; and was the representative of the Student Volunteer Movement for Christian Missions at Oslo; and served in missionary work with CIMADE, under auspices of Church World Service.
In 1948 she represented USCC at the Missions Conference in Holland, and attended the the First Assembly of the World council of churches in Amsterdam.
In 1950 she was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship and studied for a year at the University of Oslo in Norway.
She was an associate executive secretary of the United Student Christian Council in New York City.
She was founder of the College of the Third Age at Augsburg College; Board member for Minnesota Elderhostel Association; and American Scandinavian Association.
She was a volunteer with Minnesota Literacy Council and was very active in her church and other groups. She was a world traveler and travel group leader.
