Trevor Tschetter, age 71, of Huron died Tuesday, July 13, 2010, at the SunQuest Health Care Center. His funeral service was at 10:30 AM, Saturday, July 17th at the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church with Rev. Daniel Domke, officiating. Burial was in the Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Trevor Terry Tschetter was born August 15, 1938, to Edward P. and Katherine (Tschetter) Tschetter at Huron. He attended country school and graduated from Hitchcock High School in 1956. Trevor then attended Huron College.

On February 1, 1964, Trevor married Judith Eichstadt at the St. John's Lutheran Church in Wolsey. He worked for Hubert Hughes at Bales Oil Company from 1956 to 1966, then Kerr Magee Oil Company from 1966 to 1968. Trevor managed Avenue Arcade from 1968 to 1972 and then Hansen Oil Company on the north edge of Huron from 1972 to 1974. In 1974, Trevor and Judy moved to a farm in Dearborn Township. He farmed until 2004, when he was forced to retire due to ill health and then moved to Huron.

Trevor enjoyed tinkering in his shop and doing a little woodworking. He liked fishing and having his family visit.

He was a former member of Fairfield Mennonite Church, and became a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in 1965.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Gerald Tschetter; his mother-in-law, Evelyn Eichstadt; and one nephew, Andrew Eichstadt.

Grateful for having shared in his life are his wife, Judy of Huron; three daughters, Lisa (Jon) Meyer of Huron, Lori Messegee of Huron, and Kristi (Regan) Glanzer of Huron; six grandchildren, Tyler and McKenzie Meyer, Zachary and Blake Messegee, Alexis and Roxanne Glanzer; and his father-in-law, Richard Eichstadt of Huron. Trevor is also survived by one sister, Edmona Legere of Edmond, Oklahoma; one brother, Harvey (Sharon) Tschetter of Hitchcock; one sister-in-law, Judy Tschetter of Huron; two brothers-in-law, Steven (Diane) Eichstadt of Wolsey and Tony (LuAnn) Eichstadt of Colorado Springs, Colorado; a special aunt, Susanne Tschetter of Huron; thirteen nieces and nephews; nineteen great-nieces and great-nephews; and many cousins.
