Carlos was a man whose zest for life was only matched by the love he had for his family. He shared his love of music, dancing, and photography with those around him and wanted only to serve his community and his country honorably. Carlos' love for his country was demonstrated by his military service in the United States Navy during WWII and his continued patriotism throughout his life. Carlos and Evangelina settled in 1970 in the town of Gonzales, Ca with their family. He served in the civilian sector on the Head Start Program Board, Friends of the Library and was a member of the American Legion. He continuously worked to enrich his life by setting no boundaries on experiences and would share all of it with those around him. He was an avid reader of so many broad subjects in his quest to self educate, his favorite being World War II History.
Carlos was a warm and generous man who hoped his giving spirit would ignite acts of kindness in those whom he engaged. He strived daily to see the good in others and aspired to be seen in the same light.
The family thanks all of you in advance for your warm wishes, and outpouring of love and support. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Heartland Hospice Services of Monterey California.
