RITES ARE HELD FOR B. H. PORTER
Final rites were observed at 10 o'clock this morning for Ben Hubbard Porter, long time resident of Hunt County and father of former Sheriff L.L. Porter, who died Monday. The funeral services were held at the home of his son, Doyle Porter in Lone Oak, conducted by the Rev. W.B. McDaniel of Greenville. Burial was in McWright cemetery north of this city.
Pallbearers were, Ellery Johnson, E.O. Sparks, Foster Morrow, Dick Mercer, Lloyd Smith and Jess Thornton.
Many friends attended the services and the grave was banked high with floral offerings further manifestation of the esteem of which Mr. Porter was held.
