Katrina (or Kate) Divin was born on June 13, 1837. At that time in history, his place of birth would have been the Royaume de Boheme Subdivision de l'Empire od'Autriche (Austira). She married Martin Divin in 1866 in "the old counry." According to the 1900 US Census for District 0032, Justice of the Peace 02, Fayette County, Texas, the family arrived in America in 1873 and settled in Fayette County, Texas. At that time, they would have at least had 2 daughters, Rosa (born Dec. 1866) and Mary (born Dec 1872). According to the Census Report for 1900, 4 of their 7 children were still living.

Katrina Divin died on Feb. 7, 1906 and was buried in the Fayetteville Catholic Cemetery. She was survived by daughter Rosie Divin Poncik and her children Annie, Julie, Lucy, Emilie, Jim, Joe Arnold, Henry, Louis, Frank, Hermina, Mary & Paul; daughter Mary Kollaja and her children Julie, Josef, Mary, John, Emalia and Emil; and daughter Frances Divin.
