Miss Anna M. Ducey, 82, 809 W. Wayne, died at 7:25 p.m. Thursday in St. Rita's Hospital where she had been a patient since Dec. 23, 1959.
She was born in Lima, April 28, 1877, and spent her entire lifetime in this community.
She retired from the teaching profession in 1936 after teaching in the Lima Public schools for 39 years. She taught the fifth and sixth grades at Washington School, Lincoln School and Garfield School.
A graduate of the old Lima High School, she also attended Ohio Northern University, the old Lima College, and the Cook County Normal School of Chicago.
She is survived by two sisters, Elizabeth, also a retired school teacher, and Mrs. Margaret D. Welsh, both of 809 W. Wayne; and one niece, Mrs. Howard E. Neff of 1649 Frail Rd.
Miss Ducey was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church; the Altar and Rosary Society; St. Rita's Auxiliary and the Retired Teachers Association.
Requiem high mass will be sung at 9:30 a.m. Monday in St. Rose Church with Msgr. W. J. McKeown as celebrant. Burial will be in Gethsemani Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Cantwell-Sweet Mortuary after noon Saturday.
