Marcia Kloster, 75, of Le Mars, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2012, at Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars.

Funeral services will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 20, 2012, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Le Mars. Rev. Greg Gabriel and Rev. Gary Landsness will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Cemetery in Le Mars. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 19, 2012, at the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars. The family will be present from 5 to 7 p.m., with a prayer service scheduled at 7:00 p.m. There will also be one hour of visitation at the church prior to the funeral on Saturday.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Bleich, Eric Peters, Chad Peters, Justin Handy, B.J. Handy, Nick Handy, Chris Handy, Taylynn Handy, and Kaitlin Handy.

Marcia Ann Dorr was born on October 20, 1936 in Cherokee, Iowa, the daughter of Robert John and Mona (Leonard) Dorr. She was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church, rural Marcus, Iowa, and later confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Cherokee, where she lived and attended school. Marcia later earned her Licensed Practical Nurse certificate. She began her nursing career at St. Luke's Regional Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa. In later years, Marcia worked at The Abbey of Le Mars and the Pride Group.

On August 16, 1975, Marcia married Robert Goettsch at St. John's Lutheran Church in Le Mars. They made their home in Le Mars for many years until Robert passed away on December 11, 1991.

Marcia married Terry Kloster on July 7, 1996, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Le Mars. Terry passed away on July 9, 1999.

Marcia was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Le Mars. She enjoyed riding motorcycles, camping, bowling, dancing, and trips to the Black Hills. She liked to knit and crochet as well as watching birds, solving crossword puzzles, and spending time with friends. Most important to Marcia was the time she spent with her family and following the activities of her grandchildren.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children and their families, Donald (Rhonda) Handy of Aurelia, Iowa, and Nick (Ila) Handy and son, Kai, and Chris Handy; Scott (Roxanne) Handy of Hinton, Iowa, and sons B.J. and Justin; Jill (Bruce) Peters of Sloan, Iowa, and Eric (Kyla) Peters, Alyssa, Dustyn, Cali, and Eli, Chad (Kourtney Rieken) Peters and sons, Boston and Braylon; Brett (Tara) Handy of Norfolk, Nebraska, and daughters, Taylynn and Kaitlin; stepchildren and their families, Gloria Goettsch, Barb (Mike) Mathis, Holly (Preston) Mathis, and Bobby Goettsch, all of Bakersfield, California, Randy Goettsch of Ashton, Iowa, Linda (Larry Johnson) Bleich of Humboldt, Iowa, and Jeremy Bleich, Rusty Goettsch of Bakersfield, California, and Michael and Jacob Goettsch; a brother, Robert (Phyllis) Dorr of Tinley Park, Illinois; a sister, Marilee (Harold) Peterson of Aurelia, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mona Dorr; husbands, Robert Goettsch and Terry Kloster; a six-year-old sister, M. JoAnn Dorr; and a sister-in-law, Elaine Dorr.
