My first genealogical experience with a cemetery was Laurel Hill Cemetery in Philadelphia. When I was 7, we buried my great-grandmother overlooking the Robin Hood Dell. This was in 1969, and the cemetery was in very poor condition. It was in August, and I can remember that the grass was taller than I, and they had cut a path from our cars to the grave. It was erie. Now, you would never know it was the same place.
