Civil war nut from the Brice's Crossroads area in North Misssissippi. Still own part of the orginal James Samuel Bryson's homeplace in the 1850's. Home is on edge of battlefield and when the cannon's started firing, the young kids, including my Great Grandfather, were hidden out in the woods. The house was used as a hospital during the battle. Samuel was a founding father of the Presbyterian Church there at the Crossroads. Looking for any old family pictures or information from Bryson, Smith, or Gambrell families around Brice's Crossroads.
