I have been interested in learning about my ancestors for decades. It started with listening to my elder's stories when I was a child and grew until I first visited the National Archives in the 1970's and found my family in the old censuses. My research interests include Dunlap, McAteer, Adams, Beaver and Belk families in the Lancaster, SC and Monroe, NC areas, and the Shrewsbury and Snead/Sneed families of southwestern Virginia and southern West Virginia.
