Bio

I've been interested in Fish Family since I was 14 or so.
I got serious when I was 40 or so. I've dug around and found side branches that were surprising and dull. It's sleuthing until you hit a wall. Then digging to exhaust any resource that might lurk or hold a hint.

My direct ancestor was a John Fish from 1730 NJ and hung around near Stroudsburg PA until his death in 1798.
Longmire, Hendrickson, Jons, Heldt, Schwene/Schwien, Jette, Smithson, McClure, Gatton. Queen, Woolbert, are all 5th gen ancestors.

I had a website, but the ISP self-destructed. I've replaced the site at www.theotherfishes.com/johnfish/
