The pic is of frosted glass blocks.
My uncle (G-d rest his soul)
used to make large blocks and enclose silk flowers inside then set them into the ground at the Cemetary on the graves of relatives that had passed on.

My Mum has Ancestors in Wales, Norway, France, Finland, Ireland, and Scotland. To our surprise she has only 5% German Ancestry.

Two first settlers in east coast regions of the United States with ancestors in California, Australia and England. I wanted to find her Ancestry as she is 80 and not able to do it for herself.

Her Heritage was never known to her as a child. As an adult she searched before the age of computers. She was busy raising 5 children with the help of her husband and we were lucky to have both parents. She was very artistic and could draw. We were taught to read before we started school.
When the results came back with almost every Governor's name in NJ, I was in disbelief.
Her roots were in Maryland and Delaware, NJ shore of Cape May and Wildwood. NJ, DE settlers and Mid Atlantic States settlers are in my searches.
Thank you for you to all the volunteers for your hard work on these beautiful memorials.
