Cemetery was established in 1826, and last burial was in December 1882. No record of remains removal has been found. Site is today mostly a parking lot owned by the University of Pennsylvania.

Synopsis of articles Philadelphia Inquirer 2019

African Friends of Harmony was a benevolent or mutual aid society developed for the specific purpose of burying Philadelphia's African American population. In the 1850s segregation was stickly enforced and a number of societies were started for this purpose. This society was associated with the Africian Baptist Church of Brockley, now Monumental Baptist Church. Over the years it was lost to history and found again in 2018 when construction of an apartment complex unearthed the site. The remains were removed to historic Eden Cemetery for reburial.

Cemetery was established in 1826, and last burial was in December 1882. No record of remains removal has been found. Site is today mostly a parking lot owned by the University of Pennsylvania.
