DRUGGIST'S WIDOW, MRS. HAAS, DIES
The widow of the founder of Haas Drug Store, 1843 State St., Mrs. Elizabeth G. Haas, died this morning. Mrs. Haas, who was 68, resided at 1122 Brooker St. Her husband, Allan, who founded the drug store in 1917, died in 1943. After his death, Mrs. Haas operated the store until 1954 when her son, James, took over. Mrs. Haas was a member and past president of the Druggist Auxiliary of Racine and the Martha Club of Catholic Women. She also was a member of Sacred Heart Chruch, member and past president of Christian Mothers Society of Sacred Heart Church and the Catholic Women's Club. She is survived by four sons, Allan of Chicago, Rev. Robert Haas of L'Anse, Mich., and James and Arthur of Racine; a daughter, Dorothy, of Racine; three brothers, George P., William P. and Robert B. Sweetman, all of Racine, and two sisters, Mrs. Wilbur Morgan of Racine and Mrs. William Keller of Kiel, Wis. Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, Main and 8th streets, and at 9 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church with the Rev A. J. Klas officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. ==================================================
