Alida F. McRae, 73, of Madison, New Jersey passed away peacefully on Monday, March 17, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family.
Alida was born on September 21, 1940 and grew up in Maplewood, NJ. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frederick and Teresa Alida (nee Stuven) Fatzler.
Alida was a graduate of Wilson College with a Bachelor's in Primary Education. She was happily married to Rod for 49 years. She volunteered at the ARC of Union County for many years and enjoyed helping children with Down's Syndrome. She was a member of Baltusrol Golf Club and a member the Presbyterian Church of Madison for over 48 years. She loved spending time with her five grandchildren and rarely missed a game, recital or concert. She was an avid bowler, a world traveler who loved spending time on the beach.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Rod McRae. She was the mother to son, Rod, III and wife Cori, Kevin and wife Meredith, and Peter McRae. She was the loving grandmother to Rick, Reagan, Sarah, Kelly, and Scott.
