Brewer Phillips was best known as a member of Hound Dog Taylor's Houserockers in the '70s, but he was a great bluesman in his own right.

Son of Walter and Estella Phillips. Brother of Vance, Walter Ella, Eddie, Lutina, Lorena and Robert.

Dates shown in Wikipedia are incorrect. Above correct dates are from "Blues A Regional Experience", page 230. His birth year of 1933 is confirmed by the 1930 census in Rural, Carroll County, Mississippi, Sheet 3B where he is enumerated at age 7 with his parents and siblings. Death date and age are consistent with his obituary. SSDI birth date is correct, date of death incorrect.
