Victor Vanier, father of seven children, died at Cohoes Hospital where he was taken a few minutes after he was seized by a weak spell on the street. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Church. Besides his wife and seven children, he is survived by two sisters, Mrs. William DeLude and Mrs. Fred Sherrard, and one brother Napoleon Vanier.
In 1910 Victor was a peddler. In the 1920 census, Victor, a vegetable vendor age 36, is living with his wife Elizabeth in Cohoes, with their children: Victor 15, Elizabeth 13, Eugene 11, William 9, George 6, Ernest 5 and Rita 1yr 9 mos. Her father Napoleon, age 57, born in Canada is also living with them. He is listed as 7 children born and 5 living.
