RICHARD PERSONS

Richard Persons went to be with his Lord on Jan. 17, 2017. He was born born March 18, 1935, to Gertrude Ann (Haremza) Persons and Charles B. Persons in Superior.

He grew up in Superior and, in 1959, he was awarded a degree in organic chemistry from the University of Wisconsin. Later, he did post-graduate work in Iowa and Illinois. While in Carbondale, Ill., he met and married Alimae Aiken on June 22, 1963. They moved to Aurora in 1964 where he was employed at Fox Metro for more than 36 years. He loved his work in the laboratory and enjoyed going to work every day with his co-workers. He looked forward to vacations spent at his cabin in Wisconsin.

He was predeceased by his parents; stepmother June Persons; nephew David Persons; sister-in-law Jean Persons; and son-in-law Erik Peterson.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Alimae; three children and their families as follows: Alisa Persons and son, Evan Peterson of Tallahassee, Fla.; Allen Persons (Amy) and children, Ashley (Jacob) Matsen and Alex of Plainfield; Michael Persons (Akemi) and children, Katrina and Justin of Montgomery; brother, Roger Persons in Wheaton; and a niece, Cyndi Hall of California. In Minnesota he is survived by three half brothers: Mark (Paula), Scott (Bozena), and Robert, and one stepbrother Garry.

VISITATION: 10 a.m. Saturday followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. in Dunn Family Funeral Home with Crematory, 1801 S. Douglas Rd., Oswego, Ill. Services will be conducted by Pastor Ron Markese. Burial will be at Pearce Cemetery in Oswego. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kendall County Community Food Pantry at 208 Beaver St., Yorkville. IL. 60560.

On 23 July 2017 a volunteer reported: I searched the entire cemetery and could not find the grave. I did a very thorough search and could not find. I will do another search in a few months.
