Sculptor. Born in Belgrade, he studied in Munich, Vienna and Rome. He is considered the founding father of Serbian sculpture, and was the creator of many public monuments at the time of the rule of Duke Miloš. Among his most important artistic works realized according to the canons of realism or even verism, are the bust Duke Miloš and the monument to King Milan Obrenovic in the Church of St. Paraskeve in Curlina. He died in Belgrade.
