Visitation will be held Nov. 7 at Yurs Wittenberg Funeral Home, Geneva. Funeral Mass will be held Nov. 8 at St. Peter Catholic Church, Geneva. Burial is at Union Cemetery, St. Charles.
Mr. Putz was born March 29, 1919 in Chicago, the son of Frank and Kathrine (Burian) Putz. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and was a member of the American Legion of St. Charles and St. Peter Catholic Church of Geneva. He was also a member of the B.O.Y.S. Club where he enjoyed visiting with many friends over the years. He retired from Richardson Electronics, LaFox after working there for 44 years as an engineer.
Mr. Putz is survived by his wife of 61 years, Louise (Schefer) Putz; sister, Alice (Edward) Krauklis; children, Cheryl (Dale) Feltes; Robert Putz, Douglas (Janice) Putz; and grandchildren, Carolyn Feltes, Daniel, Lindsay and Alex Putz.
He was preceded in death by his stepmother, Stella (Icher) Putz; and brothers, Adam (Vicky) Putz and Anthony (Gene) Putz.
