Maria Ehler Scholl was born April 11, 1846, In Tretzler. Germany She came to the United States when 21, making her home In Bloomington. There she married John Scholl and the couple later moved to Blue Mound township and then to near Arrowsmlth, where they lived on a farm a number of years.
On retiring from the farm, they moved to Arrowsmith. Mr. Scholl died June 10. 1927.
Surviving are six children; Otto, and Mrs. Anna Marsh, both of Arrowsmith: Charles, Colfax; Mrs. Emma Kuhfuss, Mackinaw, and Mrs. Minnie Bane and Mrs. Moody, both of Ellsworth. Four children preceded her in death. Also surviving are 27 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
