Singer, Actress. She is best known for her role as Kak Yam in the Yasmin Ahmad films "Sepet," "Gubra," and "Mukhsin." Born in Kuala Lumpur, she graduated from the National University of Malaysia, and then became an English teacher. In 1994, she won first place in a talent show, Suara 90-an Nescafe. In 2006, she released her first album "Terlalu Istimewa." It garnered six nominations for the 13th Anugerah Industri Muzik, as well as Best Ballad and Best Vocal in the 21st Anugerah Juara Lagu. Her other films include "Nasi Lemak 2.0," "Hoore! Hoore!" and "Juang," as well as roles in television series and dramas including "Phua Chu Kang Sdn Bhd," "Oh My English!" and "Bintang Bersama Bintang."
