Theresa Ungaro died February 9th, 2023 in Jacksonville, Florida surrounded by her family. Theresa was born November 11th, 1931 to Georg and Theresa Firsching in Stacyville, Iowa. After graduating from Visitation Catholic High School, she worked as the executive secretary to the CEO of Hormel Foods. When the company transitioned to Southern California, she moved also. She met Frank Ungaro at a Lawrence Welk dance and their 40 year marriage was a lifelong love affair. She is predeceased by her husband, Frank Ungaro, grandson, Michael Ungaro, and her eight siblings. She is survived by her children, Janet Kinsella(Bill), Glen Ungaro(Arlene), Jim Ungaro(Wendy) and Leslie Alexander(David) and her ten grandchildren, Scott, Mark, Nick, Megan, Matt, Michael, Stephen, Rachel, Lauren and Elizabeth and 3 great-grandsons, Hugo, Lewis, Jackson and a great granddaughter on the way. She was always very supportive of her children and was involved in PTA, boy scouts, camp fire girls, Little League, and dance class. As a grandma, she was always ready to celebrate any success, send a prayer for any big event or moment, or make her fantastic apple pie. Her greatest love though was reading and she passed that on to every child and grandchild. The family would like to thank Marycrest Manor in Culver City, Ortega Gardens Special Care Center and Jacksonville Community Hospice for the excellent care of their mom. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Leukemia and Lymphoma society in Theresa's name.
