Funeral services were held at the Jay funeral chapel this afternoon for the late James U. Ryan, 81, widely known resident of the O’Neals section, who died Tuesday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. P. W. Snyder, on North K street.
Following the services the remains were taken to the Mountain View cemetery, Fresno, for interment. The services were conducted by Rev. C. E. Reynolds of the Presbyterian church of Madera. Mrs. A. Sladille sang. The pall bearers were Harry Cummings, W. R. Curtin, John O'Neal, J, A. Boutwell, George and J. F. Ward.
