Scott City -- Sylvester R. Breit, 60, died Wednesday at his home after a short illness. Born Feb. 13, 1912 at Pfeifer, he married Rosie Herman June 25, 1935 at Ransom.
He was a service station attendant and lived here since 1955. He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Scott City.
Survivors include the widow; son, Vernon, Lawrence; daughters, Mrs. Don Stark, Scott City, Mrs. Leslie Zimmerman, 107B Norman Road; brothers, W. R., Arnold, Dale, Hoxie, George, Norman, Okla.; sisters, Mrs. Ruth Herman, WaKeeney, Mrs. Annabelle Tanner, Springfield, Mo., Mrs. Vivian St. Clair, Albany, Ga.; three grandchildren.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the church; Father Jacob Dreher. Rosary will be 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Weinmann-Price Funeral Home, Scott City. Burial will be in Scott County Cemetery. Friends may call until service time at the funeral home.
