June was a valedictorian graduate of St. John's High School, Lima, Ohio. She had been a teen reporter for the Lima News.

Aunt June was a lovely lady with a great sense of humor. During World War II she was the U.S. Savings Bond poster girl and traveled promoting bonds as part of the war effort. For thirteen years she worked as a personal, private and executive secretary for the Chairman and CEO of Peoples Bank of Dayton which is now the First National Bank of Dayton.

She always remembered her nieces and nephews at Christmas, and on birthdays she would write charming personal notes that she sent with a greeting card to all members of her family of every generation.

Althugh Aunt June had many health problems in later life, but maintained a cheery disposition throughout her lengthy illness. She died at Hospice of Dayton. Funeral services were held at St. Joseph Chapel, Incarnation Parish Center, Centerville, Ohio.
