ESTHER C. CULVER
Esther C. Culver, 95, of Ellen's Convalescent Health Center, died Saturday morning at the center following a lengthy illness.
Services will be 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home and 1 p.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Church with the Rev. Lawrence McCarty officiating at the Mass of Christian burial. Burial is in North Lawn Cemetery. Visitation is after 2:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, where there will be a vigil for the deceased at 7 p.m. Monday.
Survivors include six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Esther C. Kleber was born Aug. 30, 1895, in Fort Dodge. She attended Sacred Heart School. After her education she worked as a cook at several restaurants in Fort Dodge. Most recently she worked as a cook at De Lancy's. She married Lewis Culver in 1951 at Williams, and they established their home in Fort Dodge. He died in 1986. She moved to Ellen's Convalescent Health Center in 1984.
She was a 60-year member of the Ladies Auxiliary at United Transportation Union.

Esther Caroline Kleber was born on 30 August 1895, in Fort Dodge, Webster, Iowa, United States, her father, John Francis Kleber, was 49 and her mother, Barbara Gruber, was 39. She married Ralph J. Collins on 22 April 1914, in Webster, Iowa, United States. They were the parents of at least 1 son. She died on 8 June 1991, at the age of 95, and was buried in Fort Dodge, Webster, Iowa, United States.
