Mrs. Evers, formerly Sarah Hellwig, was born in Ontario, Canada, March 27, 1870. She was married in Canada in 1892 to John Evers, who had previously homesteaded in Griggs County.
Following their marriage they settled on his homestead in Clearfield township, farming there until two years ago when they moved to town. Mr. Evers died May 7, 1950.
She leaves two sons and a daughter, Albert, Norman and Martha Evers, all of Binford and five sisters, Mrs. Alvina Evers, Detroit, Mich., and Mrs. William Berry, Mrs. Maggie Evers, Mrs. Joseph George and Mrs. Clara Cochrane, all in Canada, and seven grandchildren.
