Mike Rumple of Rush City Expires While Serving Sentence
Stillwater, Minn., Oct. 26 - Mike Rumple died in the county jail Sunday after a brief illness.
He had been received there Friday morning from Rush City, Chisago county, under a sentence of thirty days by Judge Stolberg of this district court for selling liquor to a minor.
He was one of four men received at the county jail here for safe keeping within a few days past, for violating the liquor laws.
The man was a saloon keeper at Rush City, 37 years old and leaves a wife and three young children. He was born and brought up in Chisago county and had conducted a saloon for several years.
