Ray T. Bybee, 50, of 3516 Langley Dr., died at 9 p.m. Wednesday in Memorial Hospital after a two-month illness.
He was a truck driver for the Dallas & Mavis Forwarding Co. Inc.
He was born on June 9, 1921 in Clarks Hill, Ind., and came to South Bend in 1947 from Clarks Hill.
On Dec 10, 1949 in LaCrosse, Wis., he married Marilyn Kabat, who survives along with his mother, Mrs. Hazel Bybee of Clarks Hill; four sons, Richard of South Bend, Thomas, Gary, and Jay, all at home, and five sisters, Mrs. Lora Hodgens and Mrs. Jean Wallace, both of Clarks Hill, Mrs. Mabel Jarka and Mrs. Dorothy Hobbs, both of Lafayette, and Mrs. Freida Stevens of Elk Grove, Calif.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in Bilancio-Guisinger Colonial Chapel, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday by Rev. George Phillips of Teens, Inc. Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery. Mr. Bybee was a veteran of World War II.
