Employed for years on John Beatty farm — funeral Monday.

William Simpson, 78, died at 5 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Tipton Knoll nursing home after a year's illness.

He had been ill of a heart ailment and dropsy and as he had no immediate relatives it was decided to take him to the nursing home. He was being helped through the door when he suffered an attack and died.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Barkes and Albright funeral home, with burial at Garland Brook cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Sunday.

Mr. Simpson was born at Glasgow, Ky., but came here as a young man and was employed for many years on the John Beatty farm south of East Columbus.

He was never married. The nearest survivors are a niece and four nephews.
