Eileen Wolpert, 85, of Decatur, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2012 at Woodcrest Nursing Center. Eileen was born in Adams County, Indiana on September 8, 1926 to the late Charles and Helen (Blee) Keller. On September 1, 1949 she married Joseph R. Wolpert. He preceded her in death in 1973.

Eileen was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church and its Rosary Society. She retired as a nurse for Dr. James Burk after 28 years and also worked for 20 years as an OB nurse for Adams County Memorial Hospital.

Survivors include a son Joel Wolpert of Decatur; three daughters Julie (Ken) Krueckeberg of Decatur, Joyce (Randy) White of Kansas City, KS and Jane (Tony) Wolpert of Decatur; 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by two sisters Mary Catherine Teeple and Eloise Roeder.

Calling hours will be 11:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 12, 2012 with reciting of the Holy Rosary at 4:00 p.m. at Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home. An 8:45 a.m. prayer service will be held on Monday, Feb. 13th at the funeral home, followed by a 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. Father David Voors will be officiating and burial is in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials are to St. Mary's Completion of Building on our Heritage.
