Dorothy Helen Ball, 92, of Donnellson, Iowa passed away at 7:35 a.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at the home of Ivan and Joy Ball where she lived for the past six years in rural Donnellson.
Born December 23, 1921 in Outagamie County, Wisconsin, the daughter of Arthur Henry Julius and Helena Wilhelmina (Krause) Werner. On June 8, 1947 she married Harlan Edward Ball in Cataract, Wisconsin. He preceded her in death on May 10, 2005.
Survivors include her three sons Ivan (Joy) Ball of Donnellson, Iowa, Stanley (Cheryl) Ball of Montrose, Iowa and Alan (Pam) Ball of Donnellson, Iowa, nine grandchildren, Ryan Ball, Maria Watts, Neil, Sara, Jacob & Jeffrey Ball, Ann Canida, Janet Auge & Adam Ball, fifteen great-grandchildren, two sisters-in-law Gertrude Werner and Bettye Ball Boley and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Harlan, three brothers Frederick, Arthur and Paul and three sisters Ruth Hall, Naomi Krebill and Jeanette Werner.
Dorothy was a member of Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran (WELS) Church in Burlington. She was a registered nurse and had worked for Dr. Kaboli in Donnellson.
Her body has been cremated.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran (WELS) Church in Burlington with Reverend Daniel Iwinski officiating.
A private family burial will be held at the Charleston Cemetery.
Memorials may in her memory to Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church in Burlington or Lee County Hospice.
