Cải Lương stage actress, director, and playwright. Born Nguyễn Ngọc Mai to an artistic Cải Lương family. She was the eldest daughter of a family of nine children. She began her acting career at a young age, and at 15, she debuted her leading role in "Mạnh Lệ Quân." Throughout her acting career, she starred in many theater productions such as "Lưu Kim Đính," "Tấm Cám," "Lá Chắn Biên Thùy," "Phàn Lê Huê," and "Người Đẹp Trong Tranh" with her colleagues such as Đức Lợi, to whom she was formerly married and with whom she had four children. In addition to her stage career, she wrote plays such as "Xử Án Phi Giao" and "Mặt Trời Đêm Thế Kỷ." Following the reunification of Vietnam, she continued her career and starred in the video productions of Cải Lương plays. She continued her career until her death.
